Our research group consists of several talented researchers interested in the brain mechanisms invovled in diverse psychological processes from emotion and decision making to reading comprehension.

Dr. Joseph Mikels is the principal director of the NP Laboratory, as well as the director of the Emotion and Cognition Laboratory, and is an Associate Professor of Psychology at DePaul University. The co-principal directors are also all facutly in the Psychology department: Dr. Jessica Choplin, Dr. Pablo Gomez, Dr. Verena Graupmann and Dr. Sandra Virtue. The other members of the lab include research professionals and graduate student research assistants.
